Organizational Behavior (OB) is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behavior within an organization. Then it applies that knowledge to make organizations work more effectively. Specifically, OB focuses on how to improve productivity, reduce absenteeism and turnover, and increase employee citizenship and job satisfaction.

Topics to be covered include: job motivation, job satisfaction, job stress, workforce diversity, work/life balance, multiple intelligences, evolutionary psychology, hardwired behavior, deviant workplace behavior, silence as communication, employee response to organizational politics, employee ownership, workplace design, spirituality in organizations, knowledge management, leadership, group dynamics, decision making, conflict, culture, and cross-cultural management and change. The integration of globalization, work-force diversity, and ethics are interwoven throughout the course into the context of relevant issues.
