The John Molson Sustainable Business Group
Description: The John Molson Sustainable Business Group is a student-run organization that serves as a year-long sustainability resource for undergraduates and graduates who are pursuing their studies at the John Molson School of Business (JMSB).
Its mission is to provide all JMSB undergraduate and graduate students with the resources to effectively, and professionally incorporate sustainability in their pursuit of becoming ecologically aware, socially just, and economically responsible business leaders.
Events and initiatives include
- Speaker series
- Company tours
- Business Case Competitions
- Development of a strong link between JMSB and Sustainable Concordia
- Encourage the client committee and students involved with the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program to adopt sustainability criteria in investments
- Encourage and promote the SC Sustainable Event Criteria for all JMSB functions
- Collaboration with the Career Management Services in providing students with job opportunities at companies that have incorporated sustainable business in their daily practice
