The W. P. Carey MBA student club, Volunteer Council, is a nonprofit organization committed to donating time, money, and resources to local and national charitable events. Their goal is to enhance the social awareness of the W. P. Carey MBA students as they become the business leaders of tomorrow. Activities include: cleaning and organizing the warehouse at Sunshine Acres Children's Home, a home for children in crisis; Habitat for Humanity - constructing a house intergrating recycled materials when applicable; Biztown event with the local Junior Achievement organization where MBA students mentor and teach students on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness; serving meals and hosting holiday activities in partnership with local charities. These are just some of the activities the student Volunteer Council are connected with throughout the year.
