In the school's own words...
”Our ambition is to make a difference
in society. If you wish to share that ambition,
joins us and we will work together to
achieve that goal.”
Finn Junge-Jensen
As a CBS student you are upon to embark on a journey that will have a social impact, if not on the whole world, at least the one around you.
While Denmark plays an important role in raising awareness around the world on environmental and social issues, we at CBS have made corporate social responsibility, ethics and sustainable development our competitive advantage in the educational field. Thus we offer full-time MBA programs, Executive MBA, Master, Bachelor and well as Ph.D. programs that encompass in their curricula a diverse palette of courses addressing social and environmental problems. CBS Master students have now the opportunity to enroll in a Sustainable Business Minor where courses focus exclusively on the sustainability of development and social impact.
As a CBS MBA you will have the opportunity to undertake courses fully dedicated to social and environmental issues such as Corporate Social Responsibility, or more diverse and general courses that still touch the important aspects of social responsibility and sustainability in their curricula, courses like International Business or Organizational Behavior.
Social and environmental stewardship issues are addressed in a great number of events hosted by our Business School. Workshops like the one held in February 2008 on Leading the Board Towards Sustainable Development, organized by the Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility, are held throughout the year and MBA students are more than welcome to take part.
The academic staff at CBS is actively involved in research activities in a number of specialized departments and centers that have as main area of interest the sustainable social development. Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility, Centre for Business Development Studies and many more coordinate projects regarding Clean Tech industries, CSR Communication, Corporate Social Innovation.
Our students are also keen in giving their studies a real feel and they become or form various student organizations that run a series of projects committed to creating a better and safer world. Develop is just one of those organizations. Develop Prize is a success project conducted every year by the Develop students in partnership with a private company Venture Cup. The project implies creating and developing business plans for underdeveloped areas.
Through the partnership with DANIDA (Danish International Development Agency) and the Danida Fellowship Centre not only do we teach socially focused issues, we also practice them.
Having all these in mind, we invite you to join us in trying to make a difference and creating a better tomorrow together.
