The Net Impact Leadership Team hosts monthly social network gatherings for MBA students. Each meeting focuses on a different topic related to content in their degree program and/or career development for MBA students.
21st Century Agriculture
According to UN estimates, enough food is produced globally to provide every person on the planet with 2,700 calories daily. Put bluntly, global hunger isn’t a scarcity issue, it’s a management issue. Fortunately, b-schools have taken note.
While scoring the Beyond Grey Pinstripes data, I kept a running word document with notes from the classes that included interesting ideas for my future teaching. I found that I could take key issues from all disciplines (e.g. economics, marketing, microfinance, etc.) and assemble the pieces to create an all-encompassing social value course or sustainability course.
